Sarah Miles is currently the co-editor of Traces. She has served as co-editor since August 2016. In this capacity, she coordinates with graduate and undergraduate staff members, helps to select the articles and features which will appear in the journal, and works to secure partnerships and funding. Sarah co-chairs Traces with fellow graduate student, Emma Rothberg.
A graduate student in the history department at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Sarah studies French and Francophone history in the late twentieth century. Sarah earned her BA in History at the University of Oklahoma with a minor in International and Area Studies. Her previous work has focused broadly on the independence movement in Quebec, a topic she hopes to reintegrate into the history of radicalism and revolutionary activity in the 1960s and '70s. Sarah is currently working on her MA thesis which centers around anticolonialism and networks of publication in the francophone world.
